Ms. Ayala, a native of San Diego, California, attended UC Berkeley where she received numerous awards and commendations as a result of her high academic achievements including the prestigious Sigma Delta Pi Honors Award and the National Hispanic Fund Scholar Award. She graduated with honors in 2006 having majored in Political Science & Latin American Literature.
Ms. Ayala then attended Whittier Law School where she continued to excel academically, receiving the acclaimed CALI Award in Immigration. She remained active in school and community affairs as a member of the Public Interest Law Foundation and the Hispanic Law Student Association. She also interned at the Legal Aid of Orange County where she assisted underrepresented clients on civil matters and housing discrimination issues. In addition, she interned with the prestigious Mexican American Legal Defense and Education Fund (MALDEF) where she conducted extensive legal research and community education in areas of law affecting the Latino community including; immigration raid awareness, civil rights abuse, and employment law infringement.
Ms. Ayala received her J.D. in Immigration Law in 2006 and has been an active immigration attorney with the firm since 2007.
